Soft Reserve for WoW Classic Guilds
With soft reserve, every player reserves one or two items before the raid. If a reserved item drops, a player who reserved it gets it; if several players reserved the same item, they roll.
What is soft reserve?
Soft reserve is a simple, open loot system: everyone knows before the raid who wants which item, and nobody has to collect points. It suits guilds that want to hand out loot quickly with little admin work, and mixed groups with changing players.
How GuildLoot does it
- Each player has 1 or 2 reserves per raid; guild leadership sets the number (default: 1).
- Players reserve with their login code on the raid’s loot page, straight from the loot list of that raid.
- By default only players signed up for the raid can reserve; leadership can turn this off per loot page (except in TBC).
- Reserves close when the raid starts.
- All reserves are visible to everyone and count equally. If several players reserved the same item, they roll.
- Available for Classic Era, TBC, Classic Anniversary and WoW Forever – free, with no paid tier.
Frequently asked questions
How many items can a player reserve?
One or two per raid. Guild leadership sets the number; the default is one item.
What happens if two players reserve the same item?
The players who reserved it roll for it.
Can we change soft reserve later?
The loot system cannot be switched and the number cannot be lowered while upcoming raids already have reserves.
Which game versions support soft reserve?

Registration is free and there is no paid tier. You can also use parts of GuildLoot on their own, for example only the log analysis.
