DKP for WoW Classic Guilds
With DKP (Dragon Kill Points), players earn points for raid attendance and spend them on items. Players who show up regularly can afford the important items later.
What is DKP?
DKP rewards attendance over many weeks. It suits steady raid groups that want to see loot distribution in clear numbers, and it needs a bit more upkeep than soft reserve.
How GuildLoot does it
- Classic Era: points from the confirmed attendance list of a raid – attendance, bench and a punctuality bonus, awarded once per raid.
- Classic Era: leadership opens an auction with a minimum bid, and players bid with their player login. A bid must beat the highest bid and be covered by free DKP. A fixed price instead of bidding is also possible.
- Classic Era: optional monthly decay in percent (default 0%), confirmed by leadership, plus manual credits and deductions with a reason.
- TBC and Classic Anniversary: one point account per character, raid points for attendees, up to 3 wish items; costs are deducted when the item is awarded – no auctions and no decay.
- WoW Forever has no DKP; guilds there choose priority or soft reserve.
- Optionally, GuildLoot posts the DKP standings to a Discord channel (Classic Era).
